Make Your Computer Talk and Be An Audio File originator

If you have a large amount of files to read on the computer, you can have the files read out to you by text to speech software to avoid eyestrain. Text to speech technology also called speech synthesis technology, has been widely used in digital products and services. Now there are varied text to speech systems designed for dissimilar operating systems, such as for Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac and Android. For example, Festival is the speech synthesizer for Linux. On Macs, this potential is called MacinTalk or PlainTalk and can be used via the "SimpleText" program. Business customers, educators, students, writer, language learners and those with optic or vocal impairment or studying disabilities will benefit from this technology.

For Windows 7 and Vista users, with the text to speech software Panopreter Plus, you can listen to the natural-sounding speech, and change characters, words, phrases or files in file format of txt, rtf, doc, Pdf and web pages into mp3 and wave (wav) audio files. For Windows Xp users, the voice of Microsoft Sam is not as clear as the voice of Microsoft Anna on Windows 7 and Vista, however installing a high-quality text to speech voice is a workaround.

Android Tutorial

Following is the detailed steps of how to use Panopreter Plus.

1. Run the software first, opt the speech mode by clicking "Read file" radio button on the up-left projection of the window, then click the "Add" button to add files to be read, and "Delete" button to remove a file. An array of files can be added.

2. opt the language from the language list window, the default language is Us English. The language you opt must be the same as the language of the file, otherwise the speech will not be what you want to hear.

3. opt the text-to-speech voice, the default voice for the selected language of Us English is Microsoft Anna on Windows 7 or Vista, and Microsoft Sam on Windows Xp.

4. Click "Speak" button, the text will be read aloud with the voice of Microsoft Anna or Sam. While the speech user can adjust the volume and rate, the word or sentence being read will be highlighted.

5. Click "Save to audio" button, the software will change the files into mp3 and wave files. The conversion advance status is also visible. Normally, it takes just a few minutes to change a large 50K file to wave and mp3 files.

After the conversion complete, you can find the created audio files in the same briefcase where the files reside.

There is an additional one feature that makes surfing online a listening experience, Panopreter Plus includes toolbar for Internet Explorer, after enabling the toolbar on the web browser and clicking on the corresponding buttons, the text on the web page will be read aloud. If user has selected some text, only the selected text will be read out, otherwise all the text will be read out, the word being read will be highlighted too. Click "Convert to mp3" and "Convert to wav" buttons to change the web page to mp3 or wave audio files. Now user can listen to the mp3 files on the computer, or export them to a transported mp3 player for listening whenever they prefer.

On the other hand, when user opt the "Input and Speak" work mode, user can type or copy&paste some characters, words, phrases, or even longer text into the window, then the software will directly read them aloud or do conversion to audio files, without recovery them to a file first.

Now we know this voice-enabled recipe to process digital data in our daily life, why not take a try?

Android Tablets - What Are They and What Products Are the Best Out There?

After the introduction of the iPad, people have fallen in love with the tablet Pcs. A tablet Pc is not a laptop in the sense that it does not have a folding screen although it is as powerful as a laptop in terms of comparable performance. It is just a tablet with a fully functional touch screen that will allow you to browse, watch videos, listen to audio, play games and even use it for taking notes and reading electronic books. The most important thing about tablet computers is that they are very, very portable. Unlike a laptop that requires a backpack or a laptop bag to carry around, the tablet computer will fit in most coat pockets or women's handbags.

However, the drawback to the iPad and other favorite tablet computers such as the Samsung Galaxy is that they can get quite expensive. Most people cannot afford to spend about 0 on the newest iPad and just pass on the plan of owning a tablet Pc. However, people with smaller budgets can now still own a tablet computer by buying a cheaper Android tablet.

Android Os

Android tablets are much cheaper than the iPad or the Galaxy. To understand why they are cheaper, you will need to know a diminutive bit more about the Android operating system. All Android tablets use the Android operating theory to run the tablet. This is an open source operating theory that is free to use by anybody. In other words, any manufacturer can make a tablet Pc and install the powerful Android operating theory as software to run the tablet. The newest version of the Android operating theory is the Android 2.2 version that is otherwise known as Froyo.

The free Android operating theory has allowed many manufactures to come out with Android tablets that are much cheaper than the comparable iPad. Apple charges a premium price for their iPad naturally because they were the first to come out with the plan of the tablet Pc. Loyal fans of Apple will still shell out 0 on the iPad although most of them do not realize that they can get the same, if not good value by buying Android tablets that retail for a much cheaper price.

There are some Android tablets in the market today that you can buy for even half the price of the iPad or the Samsung Galaxy tab. The best part about Android tablets is that most of them will also use the same hardware that is used by reputed brands such as Samsung. For example, the Samsung Galaxy tab uses the Cortex A-8 or A-9 chip architecture. The Cortex A-8 and A-9 are open source technology which means that it is not just Samsung who has the right to install their chips on their tablet Pcs. Many manufacturers of tablet Pc's have taken benefit of the Cortex A-9 technology by installing it in their Android tablets.

Products like the iPad and Galaxy tablets are so high-priced because the selling price includes a heavy marketing cost that has to be recovered. So, if you are going to buy a Tablet Pc, you will be well advised to think purchasing an Android tablet that will save you a lot of money while giving you the same powerful execution as the important brands.
